IN THE SPOTLIGHT

We want to make sure our members  are recognized in the community for what they contribute not only as a business but as part of the community.

This month we would like to highlight a business that is fairly new to the community, but has jumped in with both feet and is bringing about change that is much needed to the area.

The company is J.A. Snyder Enterprises.  This company has invested a lot of money to the area, with the hopes that Lake Anna is ready to have more retail closer to home.  Anyone who travels the 208 bridge has seen their building going up.  It will be a retail area with 2 levels that overlook the lake.  There will be 2 restaurants, a real estate company, a title company, a fitness company, a yacht club, a beauty salon, an ice cream parlor.  This will be the beginning for the project called Lake Anna Island.  J. A. Snyder Enterprises will also be leasing out pad sites as well for new businesses that want to be part of the commercial area on the south side of the 208 bridge.  There is already 2 townhouses constructed with more on the way.  And once the main commercial building is complete they will start on condos that will be waterfront.

All of this will bring much needed businesses to the area.

They are hiring local contractors to bring much needed work to the area and helped to start the contractor's list, not only for their projects but for the other commercial projects that have started around the lake.

J. A. Snyder Enterprises did not stop there, they have a strong belief in the Lake Anna area and have purchased other commercial property along 208 for future projects.  All to give the businesses in the area a choice.  They are strong advocates of the Lake Anna Chamber and have contributed to the organization at every turn.

Brian Newman and Bob Propst live at Lake Anna during week and head back to PA on the weekends to spend time with their families.  They are dedicated to seeing this project through, with more projects on the drawing board.

Thanks,
The Lake Anna Chamber of Commerce
