Networks & CommitteesThe Lake Anna Chamber has a variety of committees that provide members with the opportunity to serve and make their voices heard on policy matters and in activities presented by the Chamber. Service on a committee is one way for businesses to increase the value of their membership in the Chamber and their visibility among member businesses and the community. Serving on our volunteer groups is a wonderful way to bring value to the businesses you as the consumer will benefit from. Committee assignment requires approval by the committee chair.

Advocacy CommitteeCommittee provides oversight to advocacy efforts and procedures on behalf of Chamber members and the business community.

Tourism CommitteeCommittee consists of appointed Chamber members who create awareness and promote the tourism of the Lake Anna area.

Discount and Partnership in EducationCommittee consists of appointed Chamber members who will help enlist local businesses to offer our students who excel in their studies a special incentive to keep up the hard work. It can be something as simple as a free ice cream cone with presentation of a report card that indicates a 3.0 average or above. Or a percentage off of purchases or services. We are looking for businesses that would like to participate in this program. For more information you can contact the chair or co-chair of the program.

Mentor VolunteersWe know there is an untapped resource of Lake Anna area residents who have retired or concluded business careers and who have knowledge and expertise that would improve the chances for success among our members who are operating businesses now, both those who have been in business for some time and those who have recently started. We offer a free annual social membership to anyone who will participate in a business mentor program and agree to work with at least one business member for several hours each year and we intend to create a directory of business mentors to include the type of business and the skills and areas of knowledge each mentor identifies as available. While we will not discourage whatever relationships may be formed, we don't intend that a mentor become deeply involved in operating any business, but rather that advice be provided to business owners in areas such as effective advertising, creating a business plan, preparing a package to seek financing or whatever may arise in a particular situation. Business to Business
Committee consists of appointed Chamber members who will give our members an opportunity to schedule seminars that will benefit our members. It can be anything from explaining a process of a certain business, informing businesses of new tax laws they may want to take advantage of, new processes, programs that are available to the business owner that they may want to look into. We are looking for businesses that wish to impart any information to the membership community and will help in setting up the advertising and location if necessary to help make this happen.
